MOLEY IN DETAIL

Functionality

  • Why should a robotic kitchen be an essential part of a modern home?

Moley Robotics is a time-saving cooking technology that prepares meals from scratch using only fresh ingredients. It ensures every dish is cooked just before serving, eliminating the need for reheating or ultra-processed foods. This guarantees fresh, consistent, and high-quality meals every time—without human errors.

  • How does Moley Robotics contribute to a healthier diet?

A healthy diet can significantly improve health outcomes. Studies show it can help reduce the risk of cancer by 6%, diabetes by 48%, and kidney disease by 61%, while increasing life expectancy by up to 11 years. By using fresh ingredients and avoiding ultra-processed foods, Moley Robotics Cooking Assistant ensures a healthier lifestyle.

  • What types of meals can Moley Robotics Cooking Assistant prepare?

The recipe library offers a wide variety of dishes to suit different preferences, including global cuisines such as Italian, Asian, Indian and others. It also includes wellness-focused options for low-calorie, weight management, and sugar-control diets, as well as vegan and vegetarian meals to meet diverse dietary needs.

  • What is the difference between getting a meal prepared by a Moley Kitchen and ordering a meal from a delivery service?

A study from the University of Toronto found that people who cook at home tend to have a healthier diet, as restaurant meals often contain more sodium, fat, and calories. In fact, home-cooked meals provide 30% more protein, 50% more fiber, 67.71% less sodium, and 50% less saturated fat than restaurant or delivery options.
With Moley Kitchen, you get the fresh ingredients and personalisation of home cooking combined with the convenience of automation. The Robotic Kitchen Assistant prepares meals tailored to your recipes and dietary needs, avoiding ultra-processed or reheated food. Unlike delivery meals, which are pre-cooked and may lack freshness, Moley gives you full control over ingredients, portions, and preparation—ensuring a healthier, more personalised dining experience at home.

  • Do the ingredients need to be prepared by the user before starting a recipe?

The robotic cooking system is designed to handle the entire cooking process using fresh ingredients while maintaining a high level of consistency. It manages various cooking tasks and sequences based on the specific recipe.
A brief preparation of ingredients, such as slicing or dicing, is required from the user beforehand. For added convenience, ingredients can also be pre-ordered in their ready-to-cook form, such as pre-diced onions or sliced vegetables.

  • How many portions can the kitchen cook?

The kitchen can prepare recipes adjustable for 1 to 6 portions. For selected recipes, it can accommodate up to 10 portions, depending on the specific dish.

  • Can I see the calories and nutritional information of each recipe?

Nutritional information, as well as calories and allergens information is shown for each available recipe.
Recipes can be filtered by their nutritional or allergen information as well as for specific dietary requirements such as vegetarian, low salt, etc. and for different cuisines, meal types etc.

  • Where can I see allergen information?

Allergen information is displayed for each recipe before cooking begins. This allows you to review potential allergens for each dish. Detailed ingredient information is provided to help accommodate dietary preferences or restrictions.

  • Can recipes be altered or amended to one’s liking?

Yes, the ingredient and recipe information serves as a guide. Users can adjust the quantities of ingredients, such as spices, to suit their personal preferences. However, for the best results and to stay closer to the intended dish, we recommend following the original recipe with minimal adjustments.

Safety & accessibility

  • What types of errors can happen, and how does the kitchen deal with this?

Each robotic operation is tested numerous times by our engineers until it is ensured that they work flawlessly and achieve the required outcome in terms of safety. The Robotic Kitchen Assistant is programmed to prepare and cook according to pre-programmed recipes. It is important that the correct ingredients, in the correct quantity and correctly prepared are placed in the designated receptacles for the robot’s use. The quality and freshness of ingredients, their preparation and the quantities employed need to be controlled by the user to his taste. For any errors or questions, our technical support team is available 24/7 to assist you.

  • What if my pet jumps on the table?

You should always keep an eye on the kitchen while it is in robotic operation. Pets and children shall never be left unattended while the robotic kitchen is in operation. If the pet has jumped onto the kitchen, the user should immediately press the emergency stop button, to avoid any risk.
